The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an empirically-supported 8-week psycho-educational course that teaches a variety of mindfulness practices as health intervention and personal transformation. It is also the first form of secular mindfulness course brought into the health setting by Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in the late 1970s.

About the Trainer
Carmen Teo, EdD, is the founder of Mindful Insights, a fully Certified MBSR Teacher and MBSR Teacher Mentor with UC San Diego’s Center Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute (MBPTI), and a Certified MSC Teacher with the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. She has taught mindfulness and compassion to a variety of populations, including corporate executives, seniors, students and school teachers. She started her mindfulness and compassion practice in 2007 and has a regular practice, including attending annual silent retreats for more than a decade. Leïla Parmentier is a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and the founder of Mindfulness Paradigm. She discovered Mindfulness after having suffered from chronic stress and burnout in her past corporate roles, and her practice has become an essential part of her life since. Today, in parallel to her career in the banking industry, she teaches the MBSR program to help others build their own resilience and develop a greater sense of well-being through Mindfulness, like she has experienced herself.
